Get ready for Shetland Wool Week 2024 with the Islesburgh Toorie Knit Kit. Designed by Wool Week patrons, the Doull Family, this kit lets you create the official Shetland Wool Week Hat 2024, a ‘must have’ for any colour work enthusiast.
This selection of kits uses Jamieson’s of Shetland Spindrift; kits 1, 2 & 3 each complement the original Islesburgh Toorie colourways. Kit 4 is the selection of one of our favourite customers, Aberdeen Jack.
- Flora – Kit 1 includes 2 x 603 Potpourri, 1 x 239 Purple Heather, 273 Foxglove, 812 Prairie, 227 Earth
- Heather – Kit 2 includes 2 x 730 Dark Navy, 1 x 188 Sherbet, 308 Tangerine, 134 Blue Danube, 628 Parma
- Blair – Kit 3 includes 2 x 118 Moorit/Shaela, 1 x 106 Mooskit, 113 Sholmit/White, 104 Natural White, 114 Mooskit/White
- Aberdeen Jack – Kit 4 2 x 1400 Mirry Dancers, 1 x 763 Pacific, 1390 Highland Mist, 240 Yell Sound Blue, 122 Granite
Each kit contains 6 x 25g balls of Spindrift, enough yarn to complete a large-size Toorie. You can choose to include a printed copy of the official Islesburgh Toorie Knitting Pattern, or if you prefer, you can purchase a digital version here.

- All kits have the option to include a printed copy of the Islesburgh Toorie knitting pattern. Alternatively, you can purchase a digital download from the Shetland Wool Week website, HERE.
- Occasionally, we may run out of a particular colour in your chosen kit. If this happens, we will carefully select a complementary substitute to ensure your kit maintains its original appeal.

Small – To fit 49cm head circumference. Suggested needle size 2.5mm
Medium – To fit 52cm head circumference. Suggested needle size 2.75mm
Large – To fit 56cm head circumference. Suggested needle size 3.00mm
It is essential that you check your tension carefully and adjust your needle size accordingly.
